Native North American Feathers Necklace
In the Native North American culture feathers are sacred. Feathers represent freedom, power, wisdom, honour, trust, and strength. Feathers are seen on clothing, regalia, headpieces, in homes, and even tattooed on people's bodies. The Native North American feather is given as a sign of respect and honour.
Native Americans who have had personal accomplishments or achieved something great for the tribe are often given feathers by the chief or elder as a symbol of strength. Once a feather is given to someone it must be displayed proudly. It can be hung in the home or attached to an article of clothing. It is considered disrespectful to place a feather somewhere where it can't be seen.
