Flint Knapping Workshop and Retreat, hosted by Mike Boyd: July 12th-14th

Join experienced Flint Knapper Mike Boyd as he teaches the basics of flint mapping, or the ancient art of shaping stone to make arrowheads, axes, scrapers and blades.

You will be supplied with quality flint and will be guided on a one-on-one basis, much like our Stone Age an ancestors handed down this knowledge through the ages.

Learn about Stone Age traditions and lore, as we enjoy the healing properties of the Bruce Peninsula. 15 minutes from Lion’s Head, but on the Lake Huron side. Close to many areas of interest such as beaches, caves and trails. You will have as much free time as you like to explore this amazing area.

Meals will be a communal affair and will feature local produce. Feel free to bring ingredients or dishes to share, although this isn’t mandatory.
